Covid-19 shutters West Seattle Food Bank; Positive test on Nov.12 leads to temporary closure

Information from the West Seattle Food Bank

The West Seattle Food Bank will be closed for sales today, Thursday, November 12th. Last night we learned that a Food Bank helper tested positive for COVID-19. We’re not too concerned about exposure as everyone was wearing masks, being socially distant, and being outside most of the time, but we want to make sure we follow all protocols and keep everyone safe.

We will keep you all informed as we determine our operational status for the future. Anyone in need of food today can call 211 for additional resources.

We thank you all for your support and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause the community. We will work diligently to reopen as soon as possible.
