As the name suggests, Maple Leaf Reservoir Park is the scenic spot recently built on top of a 60 million gallon reservoir.
“I think we’re about 450 feet up here.”
The facts keep coming.
“People don’t realize it, but Maple Leaf is the same size as Queen Anne. This is one of the three highest points in the city of Seattle.”
The Chocolati Cafe on Greenwood Avenue is our final destination.
“You have these amazing truffles.”
This is the place where a non-coffee drinker like Ken has a delicious hot beverage, including hot chocolate in every imaginable taste, even peanut butter.
“My kids all like the flavors,” he says.
Share a mug with this guy and you will learn something.
“Napoleon wasn’t really little,” Jennings says at one point. He then sprinkles his conversation with facts about fulgurites, Charlton Heston and kangaroos. Did you know that the springy marsupials do not only live in Australia?
“There are some in New Guinea too.”
Answer: Fantastically funny, super smart guy who really loves his North Seattle neighborhood.
