SEATTLE – Northwest gave up one goal in the last 20 minutes of each half in a 2-0 show loss at Seattle University’s NCAA Division I on Wednesday.
“I am very satisfied with the effort and the performance today,” said NU head coach Bryan Chud. “We came across a very accomplished and organized Seattle U team and I felt we did a good job lifting their threat and threatening them at times. It’s nice to get the first game out of the way and we’ll build on that. We are now looking forward to these weekend games and look forward to the coming season.”
The Eagles launched two shots that night, both from Maya Lewis, who scored one goal.
Kierstin Patefield made 12 saves.
Northwest is heading to a Friday game at the College of Idaho and a Sunday competition in eastern Oregon to kick off the regular season.
