Pedestrian killed, driver critically injured in crash on Seattle’s Capitol Hill

A pedestrian was killed at an intersection on Capitol Hill in Seattle Wednesday morning and the driver of the car that hit him was seriously injured, the Seattle Fire Department said.

The pedestrian, a 50-year-old man, died on the scene; The driver, a woman of around 50, was taken to Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Fire said on Twitter.

The crash occurred around 9:15 a.m. on 10th Avenue East and East Newton Street.
