The Seattle The Architecture Foundation is to be opened symbiosis, the 22nd edition of its annual architectural model Exhibit next month. Symbiosis is curated in the foundation’s gallery on site and will bring together the work of 25 local architects and designers from September 12 to November 23 and is free to the public. As has been the case for over two decades, the exhibition participants have the unique opportunity to come into contact with visitors using models, drawings, renderings, videos and accompanying texts.

This year, several innovative design practices in the region, including NBBJ, Olson Kundig, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, Perkins + Will, LMN Architects, and Wittman Estes Architecture + Landscape, were invited to contribute work on a key theme. According to the foundation’s website, Symbiosis celebrates “mutually beneficial relationships and the positive products and constructive results of interdependence”. An opening reception with local designers and architects will be held on September 11th and will be open to paying members of the public.
