Seattle police arrest 9, seize drugs and stolen guns in crackdown

Seattle police arrested nine people and seized a range of illicit drugs and weapons in several downtown areas during a raid on Wednesday.

Among those arrested was a 43-year-old man who police said had been selling drugs on the 600 block off Third Avenue. He had small bills worth $ 2,200, 33.8 grams of hashish, 15.4 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 0.8 grams of crack cocaine, 5.5 tablets of MDMA and 4 benzodiazepine pills, Seattle police said With.

Another man was arrested near 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street after police said he sold several drugs. When the 52-year-old man was arrested, police found he was on federal parole on a narcotic drug conviction and found a stolen gun in his pocket, along with cash, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.

On Third Avenue and Pike Street, police arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of drug activity and found he had a stolen weapon, police said.

Several people were also arrested when a separate search warrant was served at an address on the 800 block of Yesler Way where officers found firearms, drugs and a sword, police said.

In total, Seattle police announced that officers obtained 12 grams of methamphetamine, 5 grams of cocaine, approximately 3 grams of heroin, Xanax, Oxycontin, and 0.8 grams of fentanyl.
