VACCINATION SITUATION: The mayor’s office says the city is giving nearly 2,000 doses of vaccine a day this week. From their press release:

With nearly 14,000 doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, the city will vaccinate residents of the Washington State Department of Health at its three permanent vaccination sites at Lumen Field Event Center, Rainier Beach and West Seattle, and will continue to vaccinate vulnerable older adults who use the mobile Seattle Fire Department vaccination teams live in affordable housing. …

This week, the Community Inoculation Center at the Lumen Field Event Center will be delivering the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine on Tuesday March 16 and Saturday March 20. The city and Sweden will administer approximately 1,200 doses on March 16 and 3,200 doses on March 3 20. In addition to these clinics with the first dose, the city and Sweden are working on a clinic with the second dose for approximately 1,200 people on March 17 . Going forward, the Lumen Field Event Center, run by the Department of Finance and Administrative Services and Swedish Healthcare, will provide vaccines on Wednesdays and Saturdays until supply increases.

The SFD-operated Community Testing and Vaccination Hubs in Rainier Beach and West Seattle will deliver approximately 5,700 doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines this week. The SFD community hubs operate six days a week and can deliver up to 1,500 vaccinations per day per location. …

This week, the SFD MVTs will be delivering the Moderna vaccine to older adults living in affordable apartment buildings across Seattle. The SFD MVTs are also working with several community-based organizations, primarily serving Latinx communities, to set up a pop-up vaccination clinic in the South Park Community Center.
