West Seattle Blog… | FOLLOWUP: West Seattle door-to-door food donors triple their giving

Looking for good news? Despite the COVID-19 economic crisis, generosity is rife. We have an update on an Arbor Heights basis Cub Scout Pack 799is new Search for food Door-to-door ride, courtesy of parents Jason t.:

Please let everyone in West Seattle know that Pack 799 has completed its food promotion, including returns for initially missed pickups, as we’ve been told.

We are sincerely grateful for the widespread support we have received in conducting our service activities, and look forward to maintaining and improving the health of West Seattle in our own little ways in the future. According to Karla and all the extremely helpful people at West Seattle Food BankPack 799 was able to make it easy to collect 3,221 pounds of groceries and housewares – almost three times the amounts we collected on previous trips!

It is really heartwarming to have this level of community support, which gives solid encouragement to our young Scouts who have chosen to serve their communities through a little adaptation and innovation amid all the challenges.
