A 44-year-old Seattle woman died Sunday morning after the car she was driving exited the ramp from Interstate 5 northbound to Highway 520 and rolled to dump it into the grassy median.
Seattle Fire Department doctors performed CPR on the woman when she was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where she died.
The woman was unbuckled, the Washington State Patrol said in a report of the incident that occurred shortly before 10 a.m.
The vehicle she was driving, a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta, came to rest on the ramp going west from 520 to I-5. No other vehicles were involved. The woman’s name was not released until her next of kin was notified.
